Excellence in practice learning - case studies from the North West
1/7/2009
Skills for Care, working alongside Kirwin Maclean, have produced a publication highlighting examples of excellence in practice learning from around the North West. The publication aims to draw attention to certain 'quality factors' in practice learning to encourage other organisations to offer practice learning opportunities to students.
Some of the 'quality factors' identified included:
- a well planned placement
- a whole team approach
- a supportive, experienced and skilled practice assessor
- well planned and regular supervision
- effective partnership working.
