End of life care - briefing available
Skills for Care have produced its first briefing on the development of Common Core Principles and Competences for end of life care. The principles and matched competences will help employers and educators across social care and health build on the development of clear and consistent approaches to training and education programmes that help all staff deliver improved support to people requiring end of life care. The briefing looks at why we need to develop the principles and competences and how we are going to do this.
The NHS has also produced a newsletter looking at end of life care. The theme of their latest newsletter is care homes. It provides an update on the Department of Health's end of life care strategy
