Education and training provider development day – event report and presentations
11/3/2009

The 4th March saw around 100 education and training providers meet to receive vital updates. The first update concerned the impending qualification and credit framework (QCF). As well as a powerpoint presentation, there was a chance for delegates to ask questions and suggest ways in which Skills for Care can support providers with the implementation of the QCF. The questions and answers from the event will be available shortly and we are looking at ways to implement the support recommended. You can download our three new publications on the QCF on our publications page – there is a guide for learners, training providers and employers. Contact catherine.wilson@skillsforcare.org.uk to request hard copies.

Updates were also given on NMDS-SC and the helpful information it can provide to training providers, as well as the training qualification standard (TQS). Runshaw College helped bring the TQS to life, explaining their experience of achieving the standard.
